Master Key Master Mind Alliance Week 13 – A Realization, Pleasure and Pain

Week 13 of the Master Key Master Mind Alliance takes place during Christmastime, and I find that fact kind of ironic.  The number 13 is said to be an unlucky number, but Christmas is a time when we reflect on what God did for us, in that He sacrificed his only Son so that our sins would be forgiven.  Christ is the sacrificial Lamb of God, and our Savior.

Ok, enough of my observations.  This week of the MKMMA was very interesting.  I learned 3 things that are just awesome, and I may never have realized these things had it not been for the Master Key Master Mind Alliance.

First, being that it was Christmas, I learned where I got my old blueprint from.  I learned how much influence my family has had on me all these years, and that some of these traits I like, but many I do not.  Some of these traits stick out like a sore thumb now, and in the past, I never even noticed them.  They are things that I’ve observed all my life, and emulated (unconsciously), but since doing the MKMMA exercises my mindset has changed, and I now realize that I don’t want those behaviors in my own life.  WOW!  It was a shocking, but welcomed experience for me.

Second, I’ve discovered how much these Master Key Master Mind Alliance exercises have really changed me, and have become a part of me.  It’s not only because of what I observed as I mentioned above, but because of what I’m going to mention in the next paragraph.  This entire experience has blown me away.

The third thing is NARC.  What’s NARC you ask?  NARC stands for Neurological Associative Reactive Conditioning.  This is a way to leverage our minds, and put the pedal to the metal in getting our goals accomplished.

There are two thing that drive us as humans – pleasure and pain.  The desire to have pleasure in our lives, and the need to avoid pain.  These are the motivating factors in our lives, and the following application (NARC), is how we leverage this fact.

We have been drilling our goals, dreams, aspirations into our subconscious for 13 weeks now, and they have become a part of us.  Imagine if someone wanted to rob you of your dreams, and aspirations.  It would be like someone trying to rob you of one of your arms or legs.  You would fight, scratch, pull hair, gouge eyeballs, and do whatever you’d have to do to keep from losing one of your extremities.

So, we’ve been documenting our goals in the form of our dream boards (Movie Poster), our Definite Major Purpose (DMP), and we’ve been reading affirmations three times a day, and writing these blog posts as a journal, along with some other readings.  Now imagine taking all of this, and literally throwing it in the trash.  Something what we are so attached to, and just TRASHING it.  That’s like losing a limb, when it has become so ingrained in your mind.  PAIN!  PAIN!  PAIN!

And when I say literally throw these things in the trash, I mean literally.  Mark instructed us to take all of our materials, and put them in a trashcan.  Just writing this post, and visualizing it, is making my stomach turn.

Next, we are to create a wonderful memory that we can reward ourselves with (pleasure).  I, for example, will have some pictures of when my son and I took a 6 mile hike to a lake, and camped there for a couple of nights.  I have a fond, vivid memory of my son hooking on to a fish while we were fishing, and the surprised look on his face, and how he panicked when the fish hit his bait.  Luckily I have the pictures to use for this exercise.

Now, your goals and aspiration are in the trash (pain), do you want to hang on to them? Then do the things that you know you have to do to reach your goals.  Mine are, call 20 prospects, that I bought from online leads, per week.  Go to 50 businesses and get business cards, so that I can mail letters to them.  Show my business to at least 3 people per week, and a several other tasks that I know will make me successful.

The pleasure comes when, at the end of each day, I finish my tasks.  Then, and only then, can I take my goals out of the trash, and embrace them again.  After rejoicing about being able to do this, I get the pleasure of looking at pictures of me and my son at Lake Valentine in the High Sierra’s, during that awesome trip, and relive the wonderful time that we had there (pleasure).  POWERFUL!!!

Once again, I learned where I got some of my less than desirable habits.  I learned how Much my goals are becoming ingrained in me, and are actually becoming a part of me. And I learned how to leverage pleasure and pain, to reach my goals, and ensure I follow through with the things that I must do to reach them.  Thank you Master Key Master Mind Alliance.

Master Key Master Mind Alliance Week 12 – Coincidence?

This week something very interesting happened.  I have been to my veterinarians dozens of times before, but never with a goal to rescue dogs in mind.  My goal really had nothing to do with my veterinarian, I just love my dog, and dogs in general; although my dog is the best dog ever.  :)

I took my dog to see our vet for a routine procedure, and that night there happened to be a waiting room full of dogs, when I had never seen that before in all the years that we’ve taken our dog, Keysha, there.  We walked in, and Keysha seemed to be at her best behavior, not growling, or barking at any of the other K9′s.

Soon, a woman named Lori walked into the room with an Australian cattle dog, that she later told me was a puppy, about 1 year of age.  The dog was rambunctious, and she was very patient with it.  Lori told me that she specialized in rescuing “herding dogs” and that the puppy she was there with was named Ralphie.

After talking to her for a bit, she told me that there were many organizations that would help people like me who wanted to rescue dogs.  I had no idea that any organization was out there to help people like me, but I was stunned, and grateful to hear that I had options.

The story is a nice one, but the most amazing things are these facts.

  1. One of my goals is to rescue dogs, and find awesome owners for them
  2. I was going to research rescuing dogs
  3. I have been thinking about rescuing dogs since the Master Key Master Mind Alliance started
  4. It’s part of my Definite Major Purpose (DMP) to do so, and it has been for a while now
  5. It’s on my “Movie Poster” (Dream board)

Movie Poster

Lori told me where to go to get information.  She told me that I had options for help to get started, and she gave me here phone number and email address in case I had any questions.

You may thing that this was a coincidence, but I would beg to differ.  Things like this happen sometimes, and we thing nothing of it.  Sometimes, if we really stop to think about it, we may find that nothing that happens to us is due to chance, but it’s because we brought it upon ourselves.

I think that we all need to stop and think about the seemingly unimportant things that happen to us.  If we do, we may find that they are not actually, “unimportant”, but that God’s trying to tell us something.  He’s trying to help us, but we have to be attuned to what he has to reveal.

Let me put it this way.  Sometime things occur in our lives, and it seems as though it’s just life unraveling day by day, as it always has for us, but if we really stop to think about our daily lives, we may actually RECOGNIZE something important for us, that we can RELATE to our purpose in life, then ASSIMILATE its meaning, and APPLY it to benefit our purpose in life (R2A2).

Things in our lives happen for a reason, like I told Lori.  Some may consider it coincidence, but I think it’s important to pay attention and really consider the seemingly mundane occurrences in our everyday lives, because we may miss something that could be pivotal for us.  If I didn’t take time to think, I know this incident would have slipped by unnoticed.

Master Key Master Mind Alliance Week 11 – Childlike Belief

MKMMA Master Key SystemIn the Charles Haanel’s, Master Key System, in chapter 11, he reminds us of the Bible scripture that says, “What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them” (Mark 11:24).  Another translation, and the one that I use states, “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.“ ~NKJV

The scripture immediately before verse 24 states, “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” (Mark 11:23, NKJV).  I would think that these two scriptures would go hand in hand, and not be separated when talking about belief, but at least in this case, they were.

Scolding - MKMMA

It’s easy to see why they are both important.  We, as humans, run into many mountains in our lifetime, and some of them, without strong belief, can crush us.  We must believe! It’s very important but, sadly, the desire to believe is trained out of us from a very young age.

Think about the little boy, or girl, when talking about how much they love to swim exclaims, “When I grow up, I’m gonna have an ginormous swimming pool inside of my house, and I’m gonna buy one for my neighbor, and my best friend, and my cousin Alex.”  What would most rational adults say to a statement like that?  ”Oh, no.  That’s not possible”. “Oh, that’s silly, stop dreaming and get real.”  ”Now come on Paul, stop day dreaming, and act like a grown up”.  On and on it goes, until we forget how to dream, and dream big, or we are afraid if we do, we’ll be ridiculed.

Dream Big MKMMA

I’ll tell you this, if not dreaming means you have grown up… Then no thank you, I’d rather dream like a child, than waste away as an adult.  When dreams are dashed, so are beliefs, and when you think of the young dreamer, don’t you think that he truly believes his dreams with all his heart.  I think so.

I decided, even before starting the Master Key Master Mind Alliance, that I will not settle for being an adult in the sense that my dreams no longer matter.  I’ve learned, while in Mark Januszewski’s, MKMMA course, how to vividly dream again, how to truly think, and how to truly believe, and connect with my Lord and Savior.  I can see my dreams and my future clearly, and it’s so bright, that I have to wear shades.  I dream big… Like a child.

Master Key Master Mind Alliance Week 10 – Our Marvelous Qualities

In the Master Key System, Charles Haanel says, “Spiritual power is superior because it exists on a higher plane.”

Mark Januszewski, and The Fabulous Davene, told us at the beginning of the Master Key Master Mind Alliance, that they would not be guiding us in regard to what our goals and aspirations should be.  They told us that we should decide for ourselves, and that we should follow our own paths.  I’m grateful that they have given us this freedom, because it allow us to follow our own course, without any resistance from other outside influences.  We can follow what is important to us, based on what we feel in our world within.

In regard to spiritual power, I decided long ago, before even starting the Master Key Master Mind Alliance, that God is my spiritual power, and He is my superior, existing on a higher plane.  He is who I choose to follow, and whose principles I’ve decided to bond with.  He is my omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent creator.

He is why we exist in the first place, and why we are allowed to continue to breath life into our being.  He is our guide, our compass, and the reason we are allowed to have blood coursing through our bodies.

Hannel also states that, “…as the plant reaches down into the mineral world and touches it with the mystery of Life, so the Universal Mind [God] reaches down into the human mind and endows it with new, strange, wonderful and even marvelous qualities.”  To me, this means that we have the promise from God, that if we believe with our hearts and minds, we can have what we desire, as long as it’s good, and in accordance with God’s will and righteousness.

God reaches into us, his creations, and endows us with His power.  This is true, provided that we believe, and when we believe, we are empowered.  He is our creator, He is one with us, and He wants us to believe, and truly have.  Then, He will reach down into our minds, and endow us with marvelous qualities that we may stumble to ascertain.
