Master Key Master Mind Alliance Week 18 – THE Ultimate Question

Master Key Master Mind Alliance - QuestionAt some point during this Master Key Master Mind Alliance course, the power of words was discussed, and I thought that I comprehended the magnitude of the case they presented.  This week; however, we were asked to write out a specific phrase on ten of our index cards.  The words of this phrase permeated my mind, as if my brain was a dry sponge, soaking up the power of the sentence.  The phrase is powerful.

What would the person I intend to become do next?”

That single phrase has been driving me this past week, and I don’t think a single waking hour has gone by that I have not brought that phrase to mind.  It has driven me to do things that I may have previously put aside to do later.  It drives me now, not only to do the things that I know I need to do for our MKMMA course, but also to do little things that I know are easy to do, but also easy not to do, and would advance my life’s Definite Major Purpose.

Think about it.  We all have dreams and aspirations.  We all think about what we would like to have more of and less of in our lives, but sometimes we don’t take the steps to get where we intend to be.

Now I have a challenge for you.  I dare you, in fact, I double dog dare you.  Imagine the person, that you intend to be, with all the dreams and aspirations included.  Now ask yourself the question that can change everything for you…

“What would the person that I intend to become do next?”

Then take that action, and really see yourself becoming that person.  After you have done this, if you would be so kind as to please come back and leave a comment as to how it has effected the things you do on a daily basis, I would really appreciate it.

  1. I love this question as it is a real motivator and seems to get me going as well. It is awesome that you are going full steam ahead.

  2. That question is simply awesome if you ask me. It has also driven me to do more than I would have otherwise. Power of words…incredible! Great post…and challenge!

  3. As always, Ed, you’ve expressed your thoughts very well. Your observation about the connection between “the question” and the little things that are “easy to do, easy not to do” is very astute. Thanks for that wisdom.

  4. I like this better than the question before doing anything – “does this get me closer to or farther away from my goal?” “What would the person I intend to become do next?” is more powerful. Doing something that doesn’t propel me towards my DMP won’t be an option. Thanks Ed. Your posts are always so insightful
